HARDBALL U AND THE LOBOS SELECT ORGANIZATIONS have joined forces to form one of the strongest baseball organizations in South Texas.  This combination of leading coaches in the business takes a backseat to no other organization in the area.  The resumes for these outstanding teachers of baseball read like a who's who in the game.  Players from all over the area are coming together in hopes of landing a spot to play for these highly respected men.

"Thank You" to Jeremy for allowing my son Matt Hilston the opportunity
to experience playing "2011" summer ball with Hardball U.
Matt has played ball for many, many years year round and has always
wanted the chance to continue to play at the next level.
Jeremy was very successful in getting Matt offers from several
D1, D2 & JUCO programs. Matt's decision to play and go the
JUCO route was the right decision, one he does not regret.
Jeremy was always enthusiastic and worked hard to get Matt's name
out there and get him the best opportunity possible.
If you are looking for an organization to help your son move on to the next level,
I do believe Hardball U is one of the
best programs in the San Antonio area.
Once again, Thanks to Jeremy and the Hardball U staff! ~ Liz Hilston, Mother of Matthew R. Hilston "2011" SVHS

Congratulations to Hardball U 14u Thompson for winning the championship at the Super Series tournament at McAllister Park.

It's official. Tyler completed all of his required medical exams and formally signed his contract today to become a professional baseball player for the LA Dodgers. Player Contract negotiations took longer than planned, which wasn't totally unexpected given the pressing legal issues the Dodger ownership and management team have been facing. The other significant milestone this week in T's life, is he finally turned 21 on Tuesday.

Tyler is currently at the Dodger Arizona training complex with most of the new 2011 draftees and looking forward to catching their #1 pick, Chris Reed a pitcher out of Stanford, the end of next week. He will begin play with the AZL Dodger team this weekend.

On April 26 we sent out our first anouncement about Burkburnett to give everyone a heads up about the event. At that time, we did not have the particulars as we were waiting for the schedule to come from Tom Scholl, head of the Blacksox organization. On May the 2nd, we did get our update from Tom and forwarded it to you. If you missed either of them, I am going to outline those two emails.

1. Items to bring: sleeping bag, toiletries, casual street clothes, changes of baseball clothes, money for all meals, anything else that you feel is necessary.
2. The 16u teams should arrive by 2 PM on Saturday the 2nd. They will move in to the facility and will have the bunk beds for the first night. There will be baseball drills in the afternoon and a game for both our 16u teams Sat. evening. There will be strength and conditioning Sunday morning and a game or double header for both teams Sunday afternoon and evening. The 16u players will sleep in their sleeping bags Sunday night. There will be strength and conditioning Monday morning and a game before departure around midday.
3. The 18u teams should arrive by 2 PM Sunday. They will move in to the facility and have the bunk beds Sunday night. There will not be enough beds for all 18u players, so those that get beds the first night will sleep in their sleeping bags the second night and vice versa. The 18u teams will all play a game Sunday evening. There will be strength and conditioning Monday morning and games all afternoon. Tuesday will have strength and conditioning and one more game for each team before departing on Tuesday midday. As we have stated. This will be baseball 101.

We will answer questions this Saturday at 6:30 at Powerhouse. We realize that many of our players are still in the playoffs and we wish you the best of luck this weekend. If you are not able to make the meeting for other reasons please email you questions.

Hardball University is an elite baseball academy grounded in the fundamentals that have made baseball the American pastime. Formerly Alamo Elite Academy, Hardball University is the culmination of a project designed to provide players 12-18 years of age with a multifaceted approach to developing their potential. Each player receives crucial individual instruction while learning to use his abilities for the best advantage of his team. Staff members of the Hardball University organization are committed to readying players for the stair steps to success that occur at each level of organized baseball. Coaches of Hardball U teams have rich backgrounds in the game. All have been players at the collegiate level or beyond. Some have also been high school or college coaches and Division I recruiters. Others have been professional scouts. Such diversity in backgrounds assures that players for Hardball U receive not only excellent instruction but also benefit from a network of contacts as they move from high school into the college arena.

At the heart of the Hardball University philosophy is the belief that every player can, with proper guidance and leadership, meet his goals. A vivid testimony to that philosophy lies in the fact that over 90% of high school seniors who have played for Hardball U and have been rewarded with the opportunity to play college baseball.

Congratulations to Hardball U 14u for their 4-1 record and runner-up finish in the Nations tournament at Prospect Park.
